States Deputy Data Director Talent Bank
Overview:
We are seeking talent to help lead us to victory in 2024. We are assisting state parties by collecting resumes and applications for key roles to help elect Democrats up and down the ticket. We are looking for highly motivated, passionate, and talented Deputy Data Directors to build winning, data-informed operations in battleground states across the country in 2024. We are looking for folks with a variety of backgrounds and experience and are dedicated to building a team that looks like America. By submitting your resume and information, you agree that we may share it with Democratic organizations and state parties. These roles are with individual state parties, who will be responsible for all hiring decisions, salary, and specific job duties.
These roles will be based in states across the country, and will require in person work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage and execute analytics and data projects
- Support the coaching and mentoring of teammates
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Design and build reports and tools for teams across the campaign in-line with key programmatic priorities
- Use SQL and dbt to transform data for use by analysts
- Use python or other scripting languages to automate repetitive tasks
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- 1+ year using SQL professionally
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- A desire to ask questions, receive constructive feedback, and grow as a professional
- A desire to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and implement creative solutions to unique problems
- Commitment to equity and inclusion in working with staff and other stakeholders
Additional Useful Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience managing projects and/or people
- Expert-level Google Sheets experience
- Experience using VAN and other organizing tools
- Experience using visualization/dashboarding tools
