Deputy Operations Director - State HQ
Overview:
The Democratic National Committee is seeking a Deputy Operations Director - HQ in key battleground states to support our ongoing mission of empowering Democrats up and down the ballot. We are looking for individuals with a variety of backgrounds and experience and are dedicated to building a team that looks like America. The Deputy Operations Director - HQ will coordinate across multiple departments to create and maintain operational processes and ensure that the DNC is an essential contributor to state infrastructure on the ground.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, promote, and oversee agile DNC operations-related campaign systems and training.
- Collaborate on projects with the Operations, Political, Organizing, Accounting, and other teams.
- Manage day-to-day building operations of the State DNC HQ Office.
- Collaborate with departments to maintain State DNC HQ Office Infrastructure.
- Work closely with the DNC National State Operations team to ensure state infrastructure is operating effectively.
- Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC’s mission
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- You have at least one cycle of general campaign experience and at least one cycle of campaign operations experience with previous statewide operations experience (strongly preferred)
- You have at least 3 years of work experience
- You have strong people management abilities, prior staff management experience preferred.
- You have strong organizational skills, communication skills, attention to detail, responsiveness, and passion for the work.
- No task is too small, you are a team player willing to roll up your sleeves!
- You have prior budgetary experience (preferred)
- You have prior experience with technology and cybersecurity (preferred)
- You are committed to electing Democrats up and down the ballot.
Travel required: Low, 10%. Some in-state travel may be required.
Salary: The starting salary for this position is $84,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position that may require work on weekends. This is an exempt position.
